On July 24, 1993, a tragic and horrific series of events unfolded in Mason City, Iowa, resulting in the murders of 10-year-old Kandace "Kandi" Duncan, her 6-year-old sister Amber Duncan, their mother Lori Ann Duncan, and Lori's boyfriend Greg Nicholson. The primary suspects in these murders were Dustin Lee Honken and his girlfriend, Angela Jane Johnson.
