Elijah Terry, aged 23, was tragically killed on November 5, 2016, in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Chicago. He was fatally shot, and his death added to the rising number of homicides in Chicago during what was one of the city’s most violent years in recent history. Washington Heights, like many parts of Chicago, has been struggling with issues related to gang violence and frequent shootings, which have affected numerous families and communities.
