Marcus Triplett, a 25-year-old male from Chicago, was fatally shot on April 18, 2017. The incident occurred in the West Englewood neighborhood, a community that had been struggling with a high incidence of violent crime. Triplett was reportedly attacked in what appeared to be a targeted shooting while standing outside in the early hours of the morning. He was struck multiple times and succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
