Sherrod Rhyme, also known as “Poppie,” was an 18-year-old who tragically lost his life on June 16, 2017, in a drive-by shooting in the Park Manor neighborhood on Chicago's South Side. The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. in the 7000 block of South State Street. Sherrod was standing outside when a dark-colored vehicle approached, and a gunman exited the car, shooting him in the head.
