Deshawn Martin, a 13-year-old boy, was tragically shot and killed on June 26, 2017, in the Washington Heights neighborhood on the Far South Side of Chicago. The shooting was part of a particularly violent day across the city, which saw multiple shooting incidents resulting in several fatalities and injuries.
