In the early evening of Thursday, February 1, 2024, a dispute between two teenagers in East Knoxville tragically escalated, leaving one young man dead. Eighteen-year-old Apollo Cannida was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound in an alley behind a mortuary near the intersection of North Hembree Street and Linden Avenue. First responders were called to the scene around 5:55 p.m. and transported Cannida to a local hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead. ...
