On June 28, 2023, a tragic series of events unfolded in Greensboro and Kernersville, North Carolina, resulting in the deaths of three individuals, including 36-year-old Nathaniel Tyshawn Burt. The incidents began in Greensboro, where 62-year-old Douglas Lane Gillie Jr. was found deceased in his home on Bayberry Lane, the victim of an apparent homicide.
