On November 26, 2023, a tragic incident occurred near Autryville, North Carolina, resulting in the deaths of four individuals, including 41-year-old Carrie Nichole Trampel. The Sampson County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of gunfire at a homeless encampment located at the end of Tanner Lane.
