On January 15, 2024, at approximately 3 p.m., a tragic incident unfolded in the South Walk Townhomes community of Apex, North Carolina. Nancy Taylor, aged 69, and her neighbor, 37-year-old Gabrielle Raymond, were fatally shot outside their residences. The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Harry Hardman, a former U.S. Army captain, was apprehended at the scene and subsequently charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of animal cruelty.
