In the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 18, 2014, the life of 28-year-old Montevious Flentall, a Black male, was tragically cut short in his home on Pageland Drive in Toccoa, Georgia. Flentall was discovered deceased at approximately 8:00 AM, having been fatally shot. The investigation into his death quickly determined it to be a homicide.
Authorities investigating the scene received information that several individuals were seen hastily leaving the area of Flentall's residence in a gray Ford Edge. Eyewitnesses described the occupants of the vehicle as two Black males and one Black female. The vehicle was later spotted traveling from Toccoa, passing through Westminster, South Carolina, and continuing east toward Seneca, South Carolina, around 8:30 AM on the morning of the murder.
Despite the passage of time, the murder of Montevious Flentall remains an unsolved case, and no arrests have been made. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Toccoa Police Department have repeatedly appealed to the public for any information that might lead to a breakthrough. A reward has been established for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for his death. Law enforcement has urged anyone with details, no matter how insignificant they may seem, about Flentall, his death, the individuals seen leaving his home, or the gray Ford Edge to come forward to help bring closure to his family.
