On February 25, 2023, 36-year-old Johnny Jermaine Reese, known as "Dirty Money," was fatally shot in Bassfield, Mississippi. The incident occurred outside a barber shop on Washington Avenue, where Reese encountered 26-year-old Antwan Loftin. According to investigators from the Jefferson Davis County Sheriff's Department, Reese and Loftin had a history of disputes.
