John Kemp, aged 40, was found dead on November 3, 1974, in Gainesville, Florida. His body was discovered lying near his vehicle, a 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass, in a wooded area that is now known as the Blueberry Farm. He had been shot and was found lying at the front of his car. It was local children playing in the area who discovered his body and alerted authorities.
