On March 20, 2023, 34-year-old Kawsu Samba was fatally shot at his workplace, MSI Auto Sales, in Middleton, Wisconsin. The incident stemmed from a dispute with a customer, 23-year-old Jakira T. Anderson, over a vehicle she had leased from the dealership. Anderson had been at the dealership for several hours, seeking a refund or exchange for the vehicle.
