On September 8, 1999, 34-year-old Dawn Petterson was found dead from a gunshot wound to the back of her head in Flagler County, Florida. Her body was discovered on the west side of what is now Squash Blossom Trail at Seminole Woods Blvd in Palm Coast. Authorities have drawn potential links between her death and the unsolved murder of Andrea Ford, who was killed in a similar manner in 1997.
