Nicholas Stephens, a 55-year-old man from Coldiron, Kentucky, lost his life to gun violence on May 5, 2024. The incident occurred in Coldiron, a small community in Harlan County.

Two individuals have been indicted in connection with Stephens' murder. Joe Johnson Jr., 30 years old, and Jessica Simon, 35 years old, both from Coldiron, were indicted by a Harlan County grand jury.
