On June 18, 2023, a devastating shooting occurred in the Roseland neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, resulting in the deaths of two men, including 32-year-old Brian Ross. The incident took place during a large Father's Day gathering at Smith Park, located in the 9900 block of South Princeton Avenue. The gathering was part of a decades-long neighborhood event where approximately 200 people had assembled to grill, enjoy music, and spend time with friends and family.
