On June 3, 2023, 9-year-old King'Javier Black was shot and killed in East Point, Georgia. The incident occurred at a home on East Washington Avenue, where King was playing with friends. According to East Point police, King was found fighting for his life outside the home and was subsequently taken to the hospital, where he died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
