Fritz Severe, a 45-year-old homeless man, was shot and killed by a Miami police officer on June 11, 2015, in Miami, Florida. The incident occurred near Gibson Park, close to the Culmer/Overtown Branch Library, where Fritz was reportedly holding a three-foot-long metal pipe.
