On January 4, 2023, Gail Earl, 78, was among the eight members of the Haight family who were fatally shot in their home in Enoch, Utah. Gail was the mother of Tausha Haight, who had filed for divorce from her husband, Michael Haight, just two weeks prior to the incident. Due to the divorce proceedings, Gail had been staying with the family at their residence in Enoch.
