Selwyn Hall, age 57, was killed on April 26, 2017, in Jacksonville, Florida, during an officer-involved shooting. The incident occurred in the aftermath of a domestic violence situation. Officers from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office had been called to East 19th Street earlier that day in response to reports of a domestic dispute. Upon their initial visit, the suspect had fled the scene. Later that night, officers returned to the address after receiving a call from the same victim, who reported that Hall had come back to the residence.
When officers, including Officer Ryan McGee, arrived at the scene, Hall was found sitting in a vehicle in his driveway.
