In a tragic incident of domestic violence, 49-year-old Amy Osowski, a White female, was killed in her Mesa, Arizona, home on June 5, 2023. The horrifying event unfolded in front of her adult son, who witnessed the fatal altercation. The witness recounted to police that his stepfather, David Osowski, 43, had made unsettling statements, claiming that 'God told him he was not part of the family.'
These statements preceded a heated argument between David and Amy.
The verbal dispute escalated dramatically when David Osowski retrieved a handgun from within the residence. He then shot his wife, Amy, multiple times in the face. Following the shooting, Mesa police were called to the home, located in the 600 block of East 1st Place, near University and Mesa drives.
Upon their arrival, law enforcement officers encountered David Osowski walking out of the house. He was taken into custody without any resistance. Inside the home, officers discovered Amy Osowski, who was pronounced dead at the scene. David Osowski was subsequently arrested and booked into jail on one count of first-degree murder.
