On June 5, 2023, Amy Osowski, a 49-year-old woman, was fatally shot by her husband, David Osowski, at their home in Mesa, Arizona. The incident occurred near the intersection of University and Mesa drives. According to the witness, who was Amy's adult son and David's stepson, David had made statements suggesting that God told him he was not part of the family. This was followed by an argument between David and Amy before he obtained a handgun from inside the home.
