On October 31, 2009, 60-year-old Everett L. Cameron was found dead from a close-range gunshot wound to the head in his pickup truck on Town Farm Road in Anson, Maine. Cameron, who was battling lymphoma, supplemented his income by selling prescription painkillers. On the day of his death, he had arranged to meet with several individuals, including Robert L. Nelson, a 41-year-old resident of Norridgewock.
