On December 8, 2016, in Hebron, Maine, 27-year-old Claire Randall was tragically killed by her father, 56-year-old Daniel Randall, in a murder-suicide. Daniel, a former pastor, had been released from a 90-day alcohol treatment program earlier that day. After his release, he purchased a shotgun, forcibly entered the family home through the garage, and fatally shot Claire multiple times before taking his own life with a single gunshot to the head.
