On April 18, 2023, in Bowdoin, Maine, 62-year-old Patricia "Patti" Eger was tragically killed alongside her husband, Robert Eger, and their friends, Cynthia and David Eaton. The suspect, Joseph Eaton, is the son of Cynthia and David Eaton. He had been released from prison just days earlier, on April 14, 2023, after serving a sentence for aggravated assault.
