On a summer day in Thompson Falls, Montana, a horrific series of events unfolded, forever marking the date of July 2, 1982. Deborah Sexton, an 18-year-old Caucasian female, was one of several victims in a family tragedy. Her life was cut short when her own father, 47-year-old Loxley Sexton, embarked on a violent rampage.
The incident resulted in the deaths of multiple family members. Loxley fatally shot his estranged wife, Linda Sexton, who was 39 years old.
He then turned the weapon on his own children, ending the lives of Deborah, her 16-year-old brother Bobby, and her 8-year-old brother Michael. The violence also claimed the life of Linda's mother, 65-year-old Francis Cunningham.
After taking the lives of five of his family members, Loxley Sexton then took his own life. The perpetrator of the massacre was identified at the scene, and with his death, the case was closed. There were no further arrests or suspects sought in connection with the deaths of Deborah Sexton and her family.
