On May 27, 2024, in Centerville, South Dakota, 26-year-old Paul Wyland Frankus Jr. was tragically killed alongside his brother, 21-year-old Zachary Frankus, and 35-year-old Timothy Richmond. The incident occurred at approximately 10 p.m. at Paul's residence. A 911 call was made by Zachary, who reported that their neighbor had fatally shot his brother. While still on the call, Zachary stated that he had also been shot, after which communication ceased.
