On August 28, 2010, in Hoonah, Alaska, Officer Matthew Dean Tokuoka, 39, was off-duty and in his vehicle with his family when he stopped to converse with his colleague, Sergeant Anthony Wallace, who was on duty and accompanied by his visiting mother.
