On the night of December 24, 2018, Alaska State Troopers were dispatched at about 8:53 p.m. to a shots-fired disturbance at a home off South Outrigger Drive, southwest of Wasilla. Inside, they found 51-year-old white male Julian Myers dead from a gunshot wound. A suspect was quickly identified at the scene and cooperated with investigators from the Palmer unit that took lead on the case.
