On July 26, 2022, in Fairbanks, Alaska, a tragic incident occurred involving the Mott family. Fifteen-year-old Kiefer Mott fatally shot three of his siblings—17-year-old Mercedes, 8-year-old Ryker, and 5-year-old Miura—before taking his own life. At the time of the shootings, the children's parents were not at home. Three other siblings, all under the age of seven, were present in the residence but were unharmed.
