On January 20, 2023, 44-year-old Andrey Dorozhin and 35-year-old Dmitriy Sergiyenko were fatally shot at the Alaska Rehabilitation Center, a drug-rehabilitation facility near Delta Junction, Alaska. The suspect, 33-year-old Daniel Serkov from North Pole, had checked into the facility a day prior, seeking treatment for chronic drug addiction. Serkov later admitted to shooting both men, claiming they had threatened him to surrender prescription drugs and cigarettes he possessed.
