On July 18, 2024, eight-year-old Colton Daniels was tragically killed in a mass shooting at his family's residence in West Blocton, Alabama. The incident occurred shortly after a birthday party held in Colton's honor. Authorities responded to a 911 call reporting a child had been shot and discovered five victims with gunshot wounds to the head.
