On October 15, 2023, the Alexander City Police Department received information about a possible homicide victim near Henry Street. Officers discovered the body of a deceased male near an abandoned house in the area. The remains were transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy, which confirmed foul play.
