Death by Force

On May 29, 2023, at approximately 12:35 a.m., 25-year-old Julio Acosta Garcia was fatally shot in the parking lot of a hotel located in the 800 block of Thompson Street in Gardendale, Alabama. Garcia, a Texas resident, was staying at the hotel with a coworker from out of state. An argument between the two escalated, resulting in Garcia being shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
