In the winter of 2019, the life of 31-year-old Megan Louise Montgomery was tragically cut short. On December 1st, her body was discovered in a parking lot of the Mountain Brook Athletic Complex in Alabama, an affluent suburb of Birmingham. The ensuing investigation would quickly focus on a man she once trusted, her estranged husband, Jason Bragg McIntosh, a 45-year-old former police officer.
The night of her death, Megan
was out with friends at an oyster bar in the Inverness area. Surveillance footage from the restaurant captured McIntosh arriving and interacting with the group. Witnesses later recalled him placing his hands on Megan's neck and shoulder and stating, 'That's my wife, she's going with me.' Despite having a restraining order against him, Megan left with McIntosh. It was the last time she was seen alive by her friends. The relationship between Megan and McIntosh had a documented history of domestic violence. In February 2019, just months after they married, an altercation resulted in Megan being shot in the arm.
