A man is found shot to death
Nelson P. Byerly was found shot to death in a parking lot of Belfair-Tahuya Road in North Mason on Sept. 14, 1988. Byerly was lured to the area, which is near a trail system for off-road vehicles, for a business deal. Involved in the land-clearing business, it was not uncommon for him to meet potential clients in wooded areas.
