A beachcomber finds two bodies in the Ragged Island Wildlife Refuge
On September 23, 1987, the bodies of 20-year-old David Knobling and 14-year-old Robin Edwards were found along the shoreline of the Ragged Island Wildlife Refuge in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. Both had been shot to death, with Edwards also showing signs of sexual assault. The victims had last been seen on September 19, 1987, when they went for a drive together in Knobling's pickup truck, which was later found abandoned near the refuge.
