A woman was murdered in her home On April 15, 1986, Lynda Moore, 36, was found brutally murdered in her home in Saxtons River, Vermont. She had been stabbed 25 times in what appeared to be a violent home invasion. Moore was last seen outside her house doing yard work earlier that day. When her husband returned home around 4 p.m., he discovered her lifeless body inside the living room. The attack showed no signs of robbery or sexual assault, leading investigators to believe the motive was solely to kill.
