On October 7, 1987, 62-year-old Mary Hooper and 57-year-old Emmett Lynch were found murdered in their residence at 300 South Lyons Avenue in Tyler, Texas. A visiting nurse discovered their bodies when she arrived to care for a patient in the home. The Tyler Police Department investigated the double homicide but, as of the latest available information, the case remains unsolved.
