Cornisha McCowan, a 13-year-old girl, was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting in Houston on April 14, 2007. The incident took place shortly after Cornisha had been picked up from the Butler Skating Rink, a popular hangout for local teenagers in southwest Houston. The shooting occurred at around 12:35 a.m., as Cornisha was riding in a car driven by her niece's stepfather, Sam Monroe.
