On February 14, 2009, 19-year-old Carlos Medina was fatally shot in San Antonio, Texas. The incident occurred in the early morning hours near the intersection of Westheimer Road and Fondren Road, a location known for its nightlife and high foot traffic. Medina was reportedly walking to his vehicle after leaving a nearby establishment when he was approached by an unknown assailant.
