Eleazar Barrera

Eleazar Barrera, aged 21, was found dead on April 26, 2009, in Houston, Texas. The investigation initially yielded little information, and the case went cold for several years. However, in 2021, the Houston Police Department’s Homicide Division Cold Case Squad revisited the case and conducted further analysis of DNA evidence. This led to the identification of Jorge Trevino Cardenas, whose DNA matched the samples found at the crime scene.
