Balraj Singh, 30, was killed in a drug-related shooting that occurred on May 17, 2010, in Houston, Texas. Singh and two others were shot at the Idlewood condominium complex on West Park after returning from a road trip involving the transportation of marijuana. As Singh and the others entered the condo, two suspects approached them, one of whom opened fire, killing Singh and another man at the scene. A third victim succumbed to injuries at a hospital. Authorities believed the attackers had waited in the parking lot for the victims to arrive.
The attackers fled in a gray Chevrolet Suburban, taking an unknown quantity of marijuana. Singh lived at the condominium where the incident took place. The authorities suspected that the motive behind the attack was linked to a drug deal, as the group was using a rental vehicle for transporting marijuana to Houston. No arrests were immediately made, and descriptions of the attackers were not available at the time. Authorities urged anyone with information to contact Houston Police or Crime Stoppers.
