On January 28, 2011, Armando Alcantara, age 47, was shot and killed during an attempted robbery at his roofing supply business in Houston, Texas. The incident took place at AA Roofing Supply Warehouse located at 13721 Almeda School Road, around 4 p.m. Alcantara was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers.

Three suspects were involved in the incident, and the police released composite sketches of two of them. The first suspect was described as being in his mid-20s to early 30s, around 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall, and wearing a black baseball cap and a blue striped polo shirt. The second suspect was described as being in his mid-20s, about 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall, wearing a charcoal gray hoodie. Both suspects were noted to have light complexions and spoke with Central American accents. The third suspect was the driver of the getaway vehicle, which was identified as a red Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck from the mid-90s, with no license plates. The suspects fled the scene immediately after the shooting.

Houston police have continued to seek public assistance to identify the suspects involved in Alcantara's murder. They urged anyone with information to contact either the Houston Police Department's Homicide Division or Crime Stoppers, offering rewards for tips that could lead to an arrest. Despite their efforts, the case remained unsolved as of the latest available updates, reflecting the challenges in solving violent crimes involving multiple perpetrators fleeing without clear identification.
