According to Houston Police, the suspect kicked in the front door, demanded money, and shot Butler when he did not comply. The suspect, described as a tall black male, fled the scene in an unknown direction. Surveillance footage showed a dark-colored Dodge Charger and a second unidentified vehicle leaving the area shortly after the shooting. The case remains unsolved, and authorities have requested public assistance for more information.
