On June 17, 2015, 18-year-old Christian Carvajal was fatally shot during an attempted robbery at Lincoln Grocery Store in Fort Worth, Texas. Around 2 p.m., Carvajal, armed with a shotgun, entered the store accompanied by two other individuals. While one accomplice demanded money from the store owner, Carvajal aimed the shotgun at him. The owner complied by handing over his wallet but then retrieved his own firearm and shot Carvajal. The other two suspects fled the scene and remained at large.
Carvajal was pronounced dead upon the arrival of emergency responders.
