On May 12, 2016, Juan Perez, aged 18, was shot and killed in Houston, Texas. The incident took place outside a popular nightclub in Midtown, where an armed confrontation escalated to violence. According to reports, Perez was approached and robbed at gunpoint by a man identified as Damondre Blackshire, who was then 18 years old.
