On June 13, 2016, Marcus Cherry, a 16-year-old resident of Houston, Texas, was critically injured in a drive-by shooting outside the Scott Plaza Apartments located at 4235 Barberry. Marcus was with two friends, aged 18 and 20, sitting on the front porch of an apartment building when a dark-colored, four-door sedan with heavily tinted windows approached.
