On October 22, 2016, Michael Truong, a 52-year-old convenience store manager, was tragically killed in a robbery and carjacking in southwest Houston. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. after Truong and a colleague had just closed the Texaco gas station on East Hillcroft Avenue.
