On November 15, 2016, Edmond Ford, aged 30, was fatally shot in his apartment at 9450 Woodfair Drive, Houston, Texas. The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m., when two masked individuals knocked on his door. When Ford answered the door, he was shot once, resulting in his death at the scene. Both suspects fled the scene on foot after the shooting. The investigation indicated that the crime was premeditated, but the exact motive remains unclear.
A witness who was inside the apartment at the time of the shooting stated that she saw two men enter before she managed to escape through a bedroom window. She was later confronted by the suspects in a nearby courtyard, but they eventually fled without further incident. The Houston Police Department has described both suspects as young black males, aged between 17 and 20, standing between 5'6" and 5'7". Despite their descriptions, the suspects have not yet been apprehended.
Authorities have appealed to the public for any information that could lead to the identification and capture of the individuals responsible for Ford's death. Crime Stoppers has offered a reward of up to $5,000 for tips that lead to an arrest. The case remains unsolved, and Houston police continue to seek any leads that could bring justice to Edmond Ford’s family.
