On March 6, 1997, Ramon Carillo was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting in Bloomington, California. Carillo was traveling in a vehicle with three other individuals—Samuel Leyva, Jennie Burgos, and Erica Barrera—when the car came to a stop. At that moment, two Hispanic males approached on bicycles and opened fire on the occupants of the vehicle.
